Renewable Energy Blade Repair for Skilled Field Services

Building Long-Term Success in Blade Repair
Since 2020, System One has been essential in supporting GE Vernova’s renewable energy field operations, particularly in wind turbine blade repair and operation & maintenance (O&M) services. But the roots of this partnership go back even further. System One began its journey in renewable energy with GE Vernova in 2010 when it partnered with LM Wind Power to provide blade support technicians across manufacturing plants and traveling field service teams. When GE Vernova acquired LM Wind Power in 2016, System One maintained its contract independently and continued to expand its service delivery.Â
In April 2020, GE Vernova formalized the relationship by signing a Master Services Agreement with System One, selecting them for their ability to quickly and seamlessly provide skilled blade repair technicians. Since then, the partnership has expanded dramatically, supporting existing teams and providing fully independent, turnkey blade repair and O&M service teams for GE Vernova’s internal projects and external customers. Â
GE Vernova values System One’s speed, adaptability, and consistency. With ongoing warranty and service repairs, they needed a partner who could deploy trained teams without delay, a challenge System One met head-on thanks to its Renewable Energy Training Center (RETC). As a certified Gobal Wind Organisation (GWO) training facility with a 5-star rating, the RETC ensures technicians comply with safety regulations and are equipped with advanced technical training for real-world challenges.Â
System One’s ability to move quickly, free from corporate red tape, became a distinct advantage allowing System One to pivot, staff, and scale with agility. Their technicians, many of whom have been trained directly by blade manufacturers, allowed GE Vernova to trust in both the people and the process.Â
Beyond technical support, the relationship between GE Vernova and System One is defined by mutual respect and reliability. Their collaboration spans multiple departments, including field operations, engineering, procurement, and resource management. Internally, GE Vernova ranks vendors based on time-to-completion for blade repairs and service work, an area where System One consistently delivers.Â
As System One continues to grow in the renewable energy space, this partnership continues to flourish and expand. What began as a support role has transformed into an ongoing strategic alliance, powering the future of wind energy with speed, safety, and expertise.Â
